Welcome to Diane Peters' website
I've been quilting for a long time, and was thrilled that a quilt I designed and made won the first place in the 2014 Kettering Faculty/Staff/Partner Art Competition!
Here are a few of my other quilting projects. Some are fairly small and simple, while others are larger and more involved.
I also like doing woodworking projects, including a lot of stuff on the scroll saw. Most of what I do there is "fretwork" - kind of intricate, sometimes lacy-looking pieces. You may see some similarities between what I like to do in wood and the patterns of some of my quilting. Here are a few of those projects.
I'm a "dog person." My first dog was a beautiful American Eskimo Dog, Igloo, who was adopted from the Anti-Cruelty Society in Chicago, Illinois. Currently, I have two dogs - also shelter pups - named Kari and Sydney. They were adopted from the Humane Society of Huron Valley.
This is a more recent interest; within the past few years, I started learning Brazilian jiu jitsu. I recently earned the second stripe on my blue belt.
